Emprum's UltiMate GPS receiver plugs directly into the 30pin dock connector of your iPod touch, iPhone and iPad and can be used with your PC (Mac/Windows/Linux) as well.
The accessory is powered either by your iPod touch, iPhone or iPad, or over USB from your computer or wall charger.
The accessory provides GPS data to most, if not all, iOS applications available on the App Store and can also be used over USB with your PC-based navigation or location-based software.
Emprum's UltiMate GPS is the only accessory on the market that works both with your Apple device as well as your PC and provides a real 5Hz location update rate.
The accessory comes with the free UltiMate GPS App available on the App Store with which you can fully control your accessory, including its LED indicators. The UltiMate GPS App provides compass and satellite views, satellite signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), firmware updates and more.

This accessory is enabled to use AGPS data (when available) for even faster cold start lock times down to 15secs. The accessory is designed around a well-proven MTK chipset that has 51 satellite tracking channels and that is DGPS enabled (SBAS, WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS) and the accessory retains most recent satellite data after power-off.
The included USB cable with quick-connect button is custom designed by Emprum and allows for a full 2.1A charging current (which is e.g. required for your iPad).
This accessory works on all iPod touch models (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation), all iPhone models (iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4) and all iPad models (iPad and iPad2) as well as your PC..
